What I built
this week

September 7–13

Tank Raid consumed the week: a countryside raid refined against playtest evidence merged, then the campaign expanded first to twenty-four connected operations and then to a ten-mission structure with checkpointing, extraction rules, and a production art pipeline for terrain, trucks, tanks, threats, and landmarks. Gridiron Guesser had one focused day rebuilding the Classic puzzle queue after its scheduling crons had been quietly no-op'ing for months, replacing a planner that would have fallen through to Wikipedia-fame players with a curated-only path that fails loud. Both projects were about closing paths that had been degrading quietly.

01 · TANK RAID

The countryside raid PR landed with numbered objectives, an off-screen bearing puck that resolves to a bullseye once in view, probabilistic gunnery in place of a FIRE lock, an interruptible per-observer scout reporting model, and lightweight title, briefing, pause, and debrief flows. Governance shifted to Linear as authoritative for live status while the design plan and roadmap were retained as acceptance and historical guardrails. From that base the campaign was rebuilt into a twenty-four-operation connected structure and then reworked into ten tactical missions with checkpoint persistence, extraction choices with tactical rigs, and convoy and woodland tactics fixes. In parallel, the production art forge advanced through revised terrain, truck, Panzer IV, light threat, and landmark candidates, and the first production assets were integrated into the M7 playtest.

02 · GRIDIRON GUESSER

The Classic puzzle queue had run to its last curated player while both scheduling crons had been silently returning without work since July, and a dry run of the top-up showed the planner falling through to the uncurated guess index and scheduling a nineteen-teens player as an easy day. The planner was rewritten to pick only curated, tiered players and to fail loud on exhaustion, Monday was moved from easy to medium so the small easy supply is not burned three days a week, and the position anti-repeat window was widened. A tooling stack shipped alongside it for shortlisting, applying tiers, fixing already-queued repeats, and guarding admin swaps, together with the curated tranche that extends the queue through the following March.
